Do You See It? is a deeply personal commissioned work, created for a friend across the country in Oregon. Over 100 hours were devoted to this painting, with careful attention to composition, balance, and visual rhythm to ensure every element aligned with his vision and the unique character of his home. After studying reference images of the space, lush with botanical life and organic textures, I developed a custom color palette focused on earthy undertones and contrasting accents.
The interplay between soft gradients and more defined forms was intentionally designed to create depth and visual movement. By integrating subtle focal points and employing intentional negative space, I aimed to create a piece that not only complements its environment but also quietly challenges the viewer to pause and consider: Do you see it?
